If you know me, you probably know me from the soccer field. More recently, maybe you’ve seen me in a Pilates class. But no matter what season of life I’m in, one thing has always stayed the same: I’ve always loved creating.

Whether it was art projects, DIYs, or finding creative expression through sports, I’ve always been drawn to making things feel personal and uniquely my own.

That love for creativity is what inspired Your Kini by Katie.

While traveling in Barcelona, I decided on a whim to design my own bikini. I chose the colors, prints, strings, and details myself, creating something that felt completely unique to me. The process was fun, creative, and surprisingly empowering. It turned a simple swimsuit into something personal.

When I came home, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I searched for a similar experience in the United States and quickly realized it didn’t really exist.

That’s when the idea for Your Kini by Katie was born.

I wanted to create more than just a swimwear brand. I wanted to create an experience. A place where women could design a bikini that reflects their own style, personality, and creativity.
